Why our lamps
Narrowband UVB lamps
Narrowband UVB lamps are the most common lamps used at home and in clinics.
Narrowband UVB lamps cause DNA damage to skin cells.

With narrowband UVB lamps, the medically effective dose is higher than the erythema-causing dose.
Erythema is essential for a medical result with narrowband UVB lamps.
Erythema is a sign of DNA damage.
Narrowband UVB lamps require a high UV dose on the skin.
A full-body booth with narrowband UVB lamps normally includes 20 lamps of 100 watts each (TL100W/01), with a total power of 2000 watts.
With such a booth, the dose must be increased gradually over about 20 treatments before results are seen.
To reduce erythema, a professional person is needed to increase the dose gradually.
The treatments also need to be at fixed intervals. If you miss a treatment, the next treatment will be with a lower dose.
Our lamps
With our lamps, the medically effective dose is lower than the erythema-causing dose.
The skin does not need erythema to heal.
Our lamps do not cause DNA damage to skin cells.
They do not cause skin erythema, which is a sign of DNA damage.
Our lamps require a 100-times lower UV dose on the skin compared to narrowband UVB.
With our lamps, a 20-watt handheld lamp does the work of a 2000-watt narrowband UVB booth.
Our lamps do not require gradual dose increases.
Using our lamps, you see results from the first few treatments and not after 20 treatments like with narrowband UVB.
To use our lamps, there is no need for a professional person to control the dose because it is fixed at 20 seconds.
A 20-watt handheld lamp in your home can replace a 2000-watt clinic cabin.
